This book is honest, tells it like it is, and addresses multiple circumstances, such as sudden illness, accidents, soldiers, suicide and more. It contains sections dealing with specific losses such as a spouse or partner, a sibling, suicide, mass death (such as terrorism), fallen heroes, and others. Each section is thoughtful and helpful. It also has a wonderful portion of the book carrying the reader step by step through the immediate aftermath of sudden death. The back couple of chapters are dealing with additional resources and activities to help with grief work. This is a must-read for anyone who has lost someone close in a sudden way or just sooner than expected. Best book for those who have lost children, spouses or siblings from accidents, crime or suicide. It also provides a list of other resources and support for those that are grieving. Of particular interest in the book are suggestions for coping and learning to get through day to day life and difficult meaningful days such as birthdays, special anniversaries, weddings, holidays, etc. God bless all who have to go through grief from death. You learn how to cope, but you never forget it.
