A tragedy comes in the happily living family when the father of the girls died in World War II. The girls are orphans and their mother is a widow. There are various problems which their mother is facing for raising her girls. Rita is nine years old and Rosie is a five-year-old girl. They both are good friends and did not see the tough life of their mother. Their mother finds a boyfriend who helps her with the expenses. One day, the mother finds herself pregnant with the baby of his boyfriend.

The father of the unborn child did not like her daughters. He set a condition to raise the child if she sends the girl away from home. This is the most difficult time in her while is she is becoming the mother of a boy and on the other side, she is leaving her daughters. The woman accepted to live with the boy and his father. The girls move to their grandmother who is living on the streets away. Their grandma died in the accident and while their parents were on honeymoon. When her mother came back, they are living with the neighbors. Her mother gives their child to the orphaned house and signs on the papers with some horrific rules. If the girls ever try to escape from their position they will be sent to Australia.
