The story begins with Kate and Curran adjusting to “normal human life” surviving in a Pleasantville neighborhood and building a living with Cutting Edge, conversely dreams of peace, tranquility and quiet are right away and continually broken up in this book as Kate.

Curran is intensely involved in the consequences of leaving the pack and irritating to help out their friends. Through an extremely interesting and exciting and only one of its kind investigation, Kate and Curran come up against a power more unsafe than they’ve ever dealt with before and after the first 100 pages or so, the action is almost non-stop. With the release of Magic Shifts, they put in bios about the characters so it didn’t unavoidably take up story time, but alas a fresh start which means reviewing their roots for new readers of the series. We would not suggest starting with this story, however, if you decide to do so, this is still a marvelous novel and you’ll ultimately come across yourself at the beginning desiring to learn more.
