In “Anticancer: A New Way of Life” David Servan-Schreiber M.D. has written a wonderful accompaniment to Colin Campbell, Ph.D.’s “The China Study. Dr. S-S’s writing style is clear and concise. He has the gift of being able to make the science understandable to all of us. A comprehensive approach to complementary ways of fighting cancer is presented with warmth and caring. This is an excellent book that discusses how and why a multi-pronged approach to preventing and treating cancer is so important. Dr. Servan-Schreiber has personal experience with life-threatening cancer and also medical expertise with enough contacts to enrich his previous version of this book to serve in 2015. Protocols for treating cancer are changing rapidly with many therapies in the discussion, under trial, and being used to replace treatments that have been less successful.

Still, even within specific “kinds” of cancer, there are unresolved discussions of the most effective methods of care. Anticancer places some of the opportunities for renewed health in the hands and minds of cancer patients. Diets, alternative treatments, and the knowledge base of cancer care overall are treated with respect and as much detail as possible within a book that has such a range.
