Max is a composer, photographer, slovenly, titled, and a bit resentful of his birth order. Of course, he loves sex. Alessia is a victim of Albanian customs, her father, and sex traffickers.

She is a musical genius, and of course, a virgin. E.L. James described her characters, but they never came to life on the page. The plot was thin and predictable. It’s hard to believe this book was written by the woman whose words gave birth to the memorable characters of the Fifty Shades series in which Anna’s sense of humor was endearing and witty. Christian’s development made us empathize with a character that could have easily repelled readers. Finally, The Mister is such a great story filled with love, romance, drama, suspense, and even comedy.
